Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Raj Chaudhary R/o # 460, New Indira Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Shiv Mandir, New Indira Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 19.01.2020. Total cash Rs. 1450/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 12, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Ambala City (HR) harassed her to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 09, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Distt. Mohali (PB) alleged that her husband & others resident of Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh harassed her to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 10, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh harassed/beaten complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 12, U/S 323, 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

Parmod Sharma R/o # 4484, Sector-46D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda Activa Scooter No. HR-72A-5956 parked near Gate No. 6, Elante Mall, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 16-01-2020. Jai Parkash R/o # 1838, Saini Mohala, Burail, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Suzuki Access Scooter No. CH-01AC-8878 parked near his residence on intervening night 18/19-01-2020. Theft

Anil Wadwa R/o # 2754, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s bicycle from near his residence on night intervening 18/19.01.2020. A case FIR No. 18, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Snatching

A girl resident of Sector-32A, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons on M/Cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone and purse containing cash Rs. 4,000/-, Aadhar Card, ATM Card near Water Works Station, ITBP Quarters, Sector-32, Chandigarh on 19-01-2020. A case FIR No. 12, U/S 356, 379-A IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 08, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bhupinder Kaur Sachdeva R/o # 3245, Sector-35/D, Chandigarh who alleged that drivers of Innova Car No. PB-01-0007 namely Rajdeep Singh R/o Nangal Kalan, Distt. Mansa (PB) and I-20 car No. CH-01BB-7451 namely Piyush Kumar R/o # 1321, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh rashly and negligently driven their vehicles and collided with each other near # 3585, Sec-35D, Chandigarh on 03-01-2020. Resultantly, complainant (pedestrian) got injured and was admitted to Max Hospital, Mohali (PB). Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 21, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the statement of Pardeep Verma R/o # 221, Pipli Wala Town, Mani Majra, Chandigarh alleged that driver of CTU bus No. CH-01GA-7027 namely Mahender Singh R/o # 2253/2, Pipli Wala Town, Mani Majra, Chandigarh rashly and negligently hit to one unknown pedestrian person at Garcha Turn, dividing road, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 19-01-2020. Unknown pedestrian person got injured and was admitted to PGI, Chandigarh, where he expired during treatment. Bus driver arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of case is in progress.
