One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against a person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place near Vita Booth, Sector-48, Chandigarh on 17.01.2020. Later he was released on bail.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Vinod Kumar and Anil Kumar while they were gambling near Bright Service Station, Khuda Alisher, Chandigarh on 17.01.2020. Total cash Rs. 1400/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 15, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Amarjit singh R/o # 47/A, Village Shurar, Distt. Kullu (HP) and recovered 680 gram charas from his possession near paddy mandi chowk, Sector-39, Chandigarh on 17.01.2020. A case FIR No. 16, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel

          Surinder Kumar R/o # 1247, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that Tima, Ajit and two others, all they beaten/threatened to complainant near Hotel Alpine, village Dariya on 17.01.2020. A case FIR No. 17, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later accused Ajit arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Ambala (HR), harassed her to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 08, U/S 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Shubham Sharma R/o # 502, Millenium garden Peer Muchhalla, Zirakpur reported that unknown person who stole away purse belongs to Ms. Shashi Sharma R/o # 76, Sector-15A, Chandigarh, containing Rani Haar 6 tola gold, 1 gold ring, 7 silver ring (ladies), cash Rs. 50,000/-, shagun envelopes and 1 MI phone from Hotel Toy, while she was attending marriage function on 17.01.2020. A case FIR No. 10, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

384 IPC & IT Act

          A case FIR No. 10, U/S 384 IPC and 66 IT Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh  on the complaint of a person Chandigarh against unknown person who hacked all files and data from server and other computers of complainant for ransom. Investigation of case is in progress.

Cheating

          A case FIR No. 10, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh  on the complaint of Roopak R/o # 31 HQ, N-Area, Officer Enclave near Village  Behlana, Chandigarh against Saurav resident of Maharashtra and Devanand resident of Vishnu Vihar, New Delhi, who cheated Rs. 5000/- from complainant online for arranging maid. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 17, U/S 420, 120-B IPC & 66D IT Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sahab Singh R/o # 4125/A, Customs and Excise colony, Chandigarh against unknown person who cheated complainants cash Rs. 278000/-  for resolving his complaint with SEBI for refund from market captains, Indore.  Investigation of case is in progress.
