Five arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Five different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17, PS- Ind. Area & PS-IT park, Chandigarh against five persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 05.01.2020. Later they were released on bail.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Bittu R/o # 166, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Govt. Tube Well, Indira Colony, Chandigarh on 05.01.2020. Total cash Rs. 11,300/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 05, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal Breach of Trust

A case FIR No. 03, U/S 406 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Narender Soni R/o Soni Chain & Jewelry, SCO No.23, Sector-23C, Chandigarh who alleged that Ashish Goswami took away gold weigh 230.150 gram which was provided by complainant for making jewelry for his shop. Investigation of case is in progress.
