One arrested under NDPS Act

          Chandigarh Police arrested Manoj Kumar R/o # 333, Subhash Basti, Mal Godam Road, near Salasar Mandir, Sirsa, HR, near UIET college Gate towards Bhaskar colony, Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered 28 injections of Buperanorphine and pheniramine maleate drugs from his possession on 03.01.2020. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 02.01.2020. Later they were released on bail.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of  Sec-35A, Chandigarh, harassed complainant to bring dowry. A case FIR No. 1, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Rajiv Bansal R/o # 1308, Sec-37B, Chandigarh, reported that unknown person stole away 12 Roll 3 Meters Each (Lapp Copper Wire 10 MM) worth Rs. 250000/- from His Plot No. 372 I/Area Phase-2, Chandigarh on the night intervening 31.12.2019/01.01.2020.  A case FIR No. 02, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 06, U/S 279, 337, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-26 Chandigarh against unknown driver of car number not known hit Scooter No. PB61-6689, which was driven by ASI Virender Vashishth at Sector 27/28 dividing road on 03.01.2020. Resultantly, he got injured and lifted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh, where duty doctor declared him brought dead.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 02, U/S 279, 337, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-MM Chandigarh on the complaint of Ram Sharan r/o # 344, Village Abheypur, Panchkula, against unknown driver of white Skoda car No. CH01BT-7077, who hit to three rehris at Kalagram light point on 03.01.2020. Resultantly, three rehri puller got injured and lifted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh, where one of them namely Satguru R/o # 322, Village Abheypur was died. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Recovered illegal liquor

A case FIR No. 03, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kapil Bali R/o Plot No. 58, Ind. Area, Phase-2, Chandigarh against unknown person who was manufacturing illegal liquor at Booth No.136, Ind. Area, Phase-2, Chandigarh and recovered 15 Boxes of whiskey. Investigation of the case is in progress.
