Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-IT Park & 49, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 02.01.2020. Later they were released on bail.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Sombir @ Billa R/o # 1057, Sector-25/D, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Volley Ball Ground Sec-25, Chandigarh on 02.01.2020. Total cash Rs. 8100/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 04, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Vikas R/o # 1057, Sector-25/D, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Cremation Ground Parking, Sector-25, Chandigarh on 02.01.2020. Total cash Rs. 5100/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 05, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Munna Kumar R/o # 330 near Gurudwara, Dariya, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his E-Rickshaw PB65TMP2019/6386 parked near SCF No. 6, Sector-11, Chandigarh on 18.12.2019. A case FIR No. 03, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

K.C. Pandey R/o # 173, AKS-2, Zirakpur, (PB) reported that unknown person stole away M/Cycle. No. CH04H4891 parked near Plot No. 52, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 02-01-2020. A case FIR No. 03, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Sanjay Pal R/o # 478, Sector-20A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his E-Rickshaw HR68T2019/834 parked near HDFC ATM, Sector-30/C, Chandigarh on 02-01-2020. A case FIR No. 05, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 03, U/S 323, 324, 452, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Khem Chand R/o # 318/D, near Railway Crossing, Shitla Mata Mandir, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh who alleged that Moseen, Sarafraj @ Piddi, Ajmal and Inzmam all attacked on complainant and his mother with sticks, rod and sharp weapon at his residence on 02-01-2020. Complainant & his mother both got injuries and admitted in Civil Hospital, MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

Jarnail Singh R/o Village-Dhamana, Anandpur Sahib, Distt Ropar, (PB) reported that unknown driver of M/Cycle No. PB39D0609 hit to Complainant’s car No. PB01B6714 from backside near Light Point, Sector-37/41, Chandigarh on 02.01.2020. A case FIR No. 03, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Pardeep Singh R/o # 6304/A, Sector-56, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons on M/Cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone near # 3270, Sector-40, Chandigarh on 02-01-2020. A case FIR No. 04, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
