One person arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against a person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 26.12.2019. Later they were released on bail.

Theft

A girl resident of Sector-47-C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person, who stole away her mobile phone from Neelam Cenema, Sector-17, Chandigarh on 25.12.2019. A case FIR No. 398, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Parvesh Goyal R/o # 21, near Kanth enclave, Baltana reported that unknown person, who stole away her mobile phone from Neelam Cenema, Sector-17, Chandigarh on 25.12.2019. A case FIR No. 399, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Parveen Gupta R/o # 401, GH-15, Sector-20, Panchkula reported that unknown person, who stole away his mobile phone from pocket of his jacket at Elante Mall on 25.12.2019. A case FIR No. 314, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-I/A, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Akshay Chouhan r/o # 3265/2, Village Badheri, Chandigarh reported that three unknown person stole away some silver items from Shop No. 8, Village Badheri on 26.12.2019 by breaking the lock & shutter. A case FIR No. 465, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Escape from custody

A case FIR No. 316, U/S 223, 224 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of SI Varinder Singh (Haryana Police) against ASI Jagdish Chand, HC Vinod Kumar both are of Haryanan Police. They were on duty while a prisoner namely Ajay R/o Village Islam Nagar, PS-Pinjor escape from their custody who was taken to GMCH-32, Chandigarh for treatment on 26.12.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 289, U/S 279, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Raju Saha R/o Village Kalupar, Distt. West Champaram (Bihar) against Ashok Kumar R/o Village Phalu, Distt. Hamirpur (HP) was driving truck No. HP67-3621 who hit to complainant’s brother namely Rameshwar Saha (pedestrian) at parking area of TPT, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 26.12.2019. Victim was lifted to GH-16, Chandigarh, where duty doctor declare him brought dead. Accused arrested and released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Mohit Srivasta R/o # 1615/c, Sector-38-W, Chandigarh reported that unknown driver of car No. PB10BZ-6667, who hit to complainant’s Activa No. CH49(T)8850 at Market, Sector 38/C, Chandigarh on 21.12.2019. A case FIR No. 467, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Tej Parkash R/o # 1510/3, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh reported that Sumit R/o # 5479, Maloya colony, Chandigarh driver of Verna car No. HR13H-0007, who hit to complainant’s brother (cyclist) namely Shiv Bachan near Maloya turn, Shiv Mandir on 25.12.2019. Shiv Bachan aged about 50 years got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 217, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
