Three persons arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Three different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against three persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 20.12.2019. Later they were released on bail.

MV Theft

Rahul Kanwar R/o # 248 Sector-15, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s CT-100 M/Cycle No. CH-03Z-0490 parked near DAV School, Sector-15, Chandigarh on 11-12-2019. A case FIR No. 247, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Gurmit Singh R/o # 3855, Sector-32/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Maruti 800 car No. CH-03M-8492 parked near park near SD Mandir, Sector-19,  Chandigarh on 20-12-2019. A case FIR No. 147, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Mohali (PB) alleged that her husband and others resident of Sector-48, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring dowry. A case FIR No. 169, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-22, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Ludhiana (PB) harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 170, U/S 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Burglary

          Hansraj resident of # 78, Vikash Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away one silver anklet, one gold chain, one gold kitti and cash Rs 9200/- from his residence on 20-12-2019.  A case FIR No. 217, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A lady resident of Daddu Majra, Chandigarh reported that her daughter age about 16 years has been missing from her residence since 19.12.2019. A case FIR No. 208, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later missing girl has been traced. Investigation of the case is in progress.
