One person arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Akash Kumar @ Bakra R/o # 1116, Ph-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh near t-point, dividing road Sector-31/47 Chandigarh and recovered 50 gram heroin and 24 injections of Buprenorphine & Phenarmine Maleate from his possession on 18.12.2019. A case FIR No. 303, U/S 21, 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for MV Theft

Sapna Yadav R/o # 4236, Sector-46D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01BN-9973 from Parking near Gurudwara, Sector-40C, Chandigarh on 09-12-2019. A case FIR No. 312, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later person namely Kamal Verma R/o # 2742, Sector-40C, Chandigarh age 25 years has been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 244, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of Pardeep Rani R/o # 9B, Navodaya Vidyalaya Sector-25, Chandigarh against unknown lady driver of Activa Scooter who sped away after hitting to Activa Scooter No. CH03S-1830 driven by Vinu R/o # 6258, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh (age about 58 years) near Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sector-25, Chandigarh on 18-12-2019. He got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh where he expired later. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Satnam Singh R/o # 35, Village Juhluwa Pinjore, (HR) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s  Maruti Car No. CH01Z-5740 from PGI Parking, Research Block-A, Chandigarh on 09-12-2019. A case FIR No. 245, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Rajnish Kumar R/o # 437, Ph-1, Mohali, (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s M/Cycle No. HP37D-5621 parked near SCO No. 822 NAC, Manimajra Chandigarh on 11-11-2019. A case FIR No. 215, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mani Majra, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 313, U/S 420 IPC & 3, 4, 5 of prize chits and money circulation schemes (Banning) Act, 1978 has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of  Ramesh Chander R/o # 534, Sector-33B, Chandigarh and 18 others who  alleged that Ram Chhangur R/o # 527 Sector-33, Chandigarh allured complainants to invest in committee business and assured them for handsome returns. Thus, they invested a total sum of 59,60,000/- with the alleged Ram Chhangur in his committee business on various intervals. But later alleged person did not returned the invested amount of complainants. Investigation of case is in progress.
