       A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place near TPT parking, Sector 26, Chandigarh on 09.12.2019. Later he was released on bail.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Ajay R/o # 1945 NIC, MM, Chandigarh, while he was illegally possessing 27 quarters of country made liquor, near Public Toilet Kacha Rasta, NIC, MM, Chandigarh on 10.12.2019. A case FIR No. 262, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of case is in progress.

One arrested for MV Theft

Ritesh Jain R/o # 3119/2, Sec-41/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Activa Scooter No. CH-01BG-7435 parked near his residence. Later one person Ravi Thakur R/o # 3001/1 Sec-41D, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 446, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Three persons arrested for Eve-teasing

A case FIR No. 303, U/S 294 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh against Ram Layak R/o Village-Behlolpur, Mande Amdad Para, Gonda, (UP)  who was arrested while passing bad comments to a lady near Guga Mari Mandir, Village-Daria, Chandigarh on 10.12.2019. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 260, U/S 294 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against Sohail R/o # 700/12, Ph-3, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh age 19 years who was arrested while he was passing bad comments to women near # 102/1, Shastri Nagar, MM, Chandigarh on 10.12.2019. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 203, U/S 294 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh against Pankaj R/o # 2615, Sector-52, Chandigarh age 19 years who was arrested while he was passing bad comments to girls near park, Bus Stand, Maloya, Chandigarh on 10.12.2019. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

A girl resident of Maharana Partap Hostel, Sector-25, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away her bag containing cash, mobile and some documents from State Library Sector-17, Chandigarh on 04.09.2019. A case FIR No. 383, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Ishwar Dutt Sharma, J.E., Sub Divisional Engineer, MC, TH Sub Division No. 18, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away main hole cover near light point, Sector-22/23, Chandigarh on 29.11.2019. A case FIR No. 384, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Ajjaj Ahmad R/o # 709/19, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 4 mobile phones from his residence on the night intervening 08/09-12-2019. A case FIR No. 276, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

Chaman R/o # 1480, Sector-29/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Bullet M/Cycle No. HR-3H-6733 parked near Booth No. 18/3, Sector-27/C, Chandigarh on the night intervening 21/22-11-2019. A case FIR No. 275, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Jaswant Singh Negi R/o # 676, Krishna Enclave, Block-D, Dhakoli, Zirakpur, (PB) reported that unknown person stole away Yamaha M/Cycle No. CH01AU4723 from Elante Mall, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 04-12-2019. A case FIR No. 302, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Aashish Sharma R/o # 793, Sector-43/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Honda City car No. CH03S2498 parked in front of his residence on the night intervening 8/9-12-2019. A case FIR No. 250, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 277, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Joginder Pal Kochhar R/o # 3298, Sector-46/C, Chandigarh who alleged that Munish Chaudhary R/o # 3947, Sector-47D, Chandigarh & other approached complainant to sell the share of firm M/s Holy Smoke Restaurants, SCO No. 60 Sector 26, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh up to the retirement for amount Rs. 72 lakh. They given post dated cheques which got dishonored from bank.  Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 208, U/S 304A IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the statement of Vinod Kumar Yadav R/o # 100, Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown driver of unknown vehicle sped away after hitting to Activa Scooter No. CH01BT1573 driven by complainant’s father Dilip Kumar Yadav near road Raipur Khurd to Zirakpur, Chandigarh on 09.12.2019. Injured person lifted to GMCH-32 where duty doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 261, U/S 323, 325, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rajinder Singh R/o # 639, Village-Kishangarh, Chandigarh who alleged that Bhagwan Singh R/o # 600, Village-Kishangarh beaten complainant at roof of his residence on 07.12.2019.
