One person arrested for consuming liquor at public places

        A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against 01 person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 29.11.2019. Later he was released on bail.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Amarjit, Ashok both resident of Ludhiana and Darshan resident of Chandigarh, while gambling near football ground, Sector-17, Chandigarh on 29.11.2019. Total cash Rs. 1760/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 375, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Bharat Bhushan, Sukhram, Sunil and Anand all resident of Chandigarh, while gambling near Stadium Maloya, Chandigarh on 29.11.2019. Total cash Rs. 22050/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 195, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 142, U/S 279, 337, added 304A IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the statement of Anil Negi R/o # 387, Saini Vihar, Baltana, against Amandeep Singh R/o room No.6, NBH Hostel, 3BRD, Chandigarh who hit to cyclist namely Surinder Singh Bisht R/o # 1765, Sector 29, Chandigarh, with his bullet motorcycle No. CH01BU-7773 at Sector 20/30 light point on 29.11.2019. Cyclist got injured and was admitted in GMCH-32 where he was died during treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Khairati Lal Ahuja r/o # 132, Sector-11A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs. 500/-, chiller, black purse containing some important documents from his residence after broken the locks on 29.11.2019. A case FIR No. 235, U/S 454, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Gaurav Aneja R/o # 53-B, Sector 30, Chandigarh reported that two unknown person stole away cash Rs.40000/-, from his booth No.339, Sector 32D, Chandigarh on the night intervening 27/28.11.2019 by breaking the locks. A case FIR No. 295, U/S 380, 457, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV theft

          A girl resident of Sector 41, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa No.CH03Y2143 from parking of DAV College, Sec-10, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 293, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
