One person arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place from Sector-51, Chandigarh on 11.11.2019. Later he was released on bail.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Dilkash Kumar @ Tini R/o # 5863, Sector-56, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 18 quarters and 3 bottles of country made of liquor near kacha Rasta, Sector 55-56 dividing road on 11.11.2019. A case FIR No. 408, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Cheating

          Ajay Kumar R/o # 4600 B Sector 46 Chandigarh reported that he received a Call on his cell number from 8358985245 and the caller introduced himself as SBI Employee and he shared the detail of his credit card and OTP to caller and Total Rs.15998/- has been deducted from his account. A case FIR No. 277, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A case FIR No. 187, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Suresh Kumar Goyal R/o # 5725, Maloya colony, Chandigarh against unknown person who fraudulently change his ATM and withdrawn cash Rs. 47,500/- from PNB Bank ATM, Village Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

Abdul Manan r/o # 226 Block-K, Colony No. 4, Chandigarh reported that driver of truck no. PB11CB-2479, who hit to unknown pedestrian near Garcha turn on 11.11.2019. Pedestrian got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh, where duty doctor declared him brought dead. A case FIR No. 288, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-I/A, Chandigarh. Theft

          Puneet R/o # 1148, Phase-1 Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person who stole away a gold chain of 3 tola, one gold Koka, 3 set of silver payal, 2 set of silver kangan, one set of silver chutki, one silver neckless of 5 tola and 44000/- after breaking the lock on the night intervening 09/10.11.2019. A case FIR No. 277, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Ashish Kainthla r/o # 160, Sector-40-A, Chandigarh reported that unkwno person, who stole away 2 tyres of complainant’s Baleno car No. HP07E-1114, while it was parked near his residence on intervening night 10/11.11.2019. A case FIR No. 407, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
