One person arrested for consuming liquor at public place
A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place from Fish Market, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 10.11.2019. Later they were released on bail.
One arrested for possessing illegal liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Dhanas, Chandigarh while she was illegally possessing 48 quarters of country made liquor near backside Kali Mata Mandir, Jungle Area, Sector 56, Chandigarh on 10.11.2019. A case FIR No. 405, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One person arrested for Snatching
A girl resident of Sector 6, Panchkula (HR) reported that one unknown person snatched complainant’s mobile phone near FR light point, Chandigarh on 10.11.2019. Alleged person namely Sukhwinder Pal Singh R/o # 4, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh apprehended by beat party near the spot and arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 191, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
MV theft
Ms. Surbhi Sharma R/o # 3017, Sector-38/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01BP-6510 from parking near Library, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 06.11.2019. A case FIR No. 276, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Ms. Jaspreet Kaur R/o # 447, Dadu Majra Colony, Sec-38/W, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. HP122166 parked at Market, near Domino’s Pizza, Sector-38/D, Chandigarh on 10.11.2019. Ram Chand R/o # 2165, Aashiana Enclave, Sector-48/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 4 wheels of complainant’s I-20 car No. CH01 BY8864 parked in front of his house on night intervening 09/10-11-2019. A case FIR No. 141, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Missing/Abduction
A lady resident of Chandigarh reported that her daughter aged about 16 years went to her School at Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 05.11.2019 and she is missing since then. A case FIR No. 276, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Assault
A case FIR No. 186, U/S 324, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Varinder Nath R/o # 218, Village-Maloya, Chandigarh who alleged that Vishal Mehra R/o Maloya Colony attacked on complainant with sharp weapon and his friend also beaten him near Chandni Chowk, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh on 10.11.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
