MadhuAnand, the Panchkula candidate of Swaraj India, visited society 27 and 104 in sector-20 along with Madrasi colony and its nearby households in sector-21 on Tuesday afternoon. She was accompanied by Christina Samy, National Vice President and Presidium member of Swaraj India, and MeenakshiVengadesan, Joint secretary of Swaraj India in Tamil Nadu. The trio witnessed a strong wave of support and cheers for Swaraj India and Anand’s candidature.

Continuing her door-to-door campaign run, MadhuAnand talked to the people of these colonies and reassured them of proper solutions to their concerns regarding potholes, strays, sewage system, traffic, and road management.

Anand said, “All your issues will receive proper attention followed by adequate action, only if you don’t let money buy your freedom. Voting is everyone’s right and you must ignite the flame of change in Panchkula.” Her words received immense support and appreciation from the public.

On her visit to the Madrasi colony, Samy expressed that it is painful to realize that these people have been living in such a congested space with constantly degrading hygiene for almost 30-40 years. It needs to be managed better on the highest priority and Swaraj India will try to do so, provided it wins.

A significant number of ladies recognized MadhuAnand and her whistle symbol from a distance and cheered for her. In conversation with her, one of them even said that “It is good to see Anand represent the real issues that impact the lives of common people. We are proud that someone is standing up for issues like women safety and trying to make a difference in the current political scenario.”

Anand thanked them for their support and promised that if she wins, their grievances would be duly addressed – highlighting the installation of a garbage disposal system, police patrolling, and Pucca colonies.
