One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 14.10.2019. Later he was released on bail.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Dharminder @ Kalia R/o Jhuggi No.332, near Masjid NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh, while he was illegally possessing 32 quarters  of country made liquor near Masjid, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh, on 14.10.2019. A case FIR No. 223, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Distt. Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 134, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Zirakpur (PB), harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 135, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 239, U/S 279, 337 added 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Neeraj R/o # 2476, Maulijagran, Chandigarh against unknown driver of car number not confirm hit to motorcycle No. HR01AB-2814 near Sukhna Bridge, Sector -26, Chandigarh, on 13.10.2019 and sped away. Motorcyclist namely Ajay resident not known was admitted in PGI, Chandigarh, where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 210, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Joginder Singh R/o # 32, Block-2002, Sector-32-A, Chandigarh against unknown driver of car No. PB65AT-5867 who was sped away after hitting to a cyclist near Ganda Nala bridge, tin colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 12.10.2019.  Cyclist namely Amit @ Amritpal R/o Village Philpur, Distt. Kangra, HP, got injured and was admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to Snatch

A case FIR No. 168, U/S 379, 356, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complainant of a lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that 3 unknown person on motorcycle number not known, who sped after tried to snatch her bag from near Gate No.3, MHC, Manimajra, on 14.10.2019.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Gurja Shankar R/o # Village Dadumajra, Chandigarh  reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01BM 8048, near Nehru park, Sec-22, Chandigarh on 01.10.2019. A case FIR No. 321, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 211, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Balram Singh R/o # Bansakpur, Distt. Partapgarh (UP), who was declared Proclaimed Offender on 21.02.2019 and not appeared in the Hon’ble court.  Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 212, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Suraj R/o # 58, Deha Colony, Ambala Cant., who was declared Proclaimed Offender on 07.07.2018 and not appeared in the Hon’ble court.  Investigation of case is in progress.
