Four arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Four different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17 & 26, Chandigarh against four persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at different public places on 02.10.2019. Later they were released on bail.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh while she was illegally possessing 20 quarters of country made liquor near Govt. School, Sector 56, Chandigarh on 04.10.2019. A case FIR No. 348, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later she was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 311, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sarnjit Singh R/o # 2124, Sector -22-C, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons snatched away complainant’s mobile phone near Kiran Cinema, Sector 22, Chandigarh on 04.10.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 260, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 324, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Navneet Gill R/o # Vill Samin, Teh-Tohana, Distt. Fatehabad against Udesh Rana, Ravinder Singh, Parvinder Singh, Devinder Singh, Rahul and Raj Saini all resident of DAV College, Chandigarh. All they quarreled with complainant near CLTA, Sector 10, Chandigarh on 04.10.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Later all alleged arrested in this case and released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 250, U/S 279, 304A, IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh against unknown driver of car No. CH04F-5018, who hit to pedestrian namely Mahesh Dass R/o # 1195, Sector-44-B, Chandigarh near House No.458, Sector-44-A, Chandigarh on 04.10.2019. Pedestrian was lifted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh where doctors declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Shishu Pal Pathania R/o # 2007, Sector-66, Mohali reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s  Gold jwellery and cash Rs. 600000/- from marriage function, Khukrain Bhawan, Sector 35, Chandigarh on 04.10.2019. A case FIR No. 204, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Other

A case FIR No. 313, U/S 408 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Arjun Talwar R/o # 141, Sector-8, Chandigarh reported that Ajay Kumar R/o # 662, Sector-52, Chandigarh, who stole away some jewelary items from the stock from SCF No.9-10, Sector-22-D, Chandigarh.  Investigation of case is in progress.
