Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17 Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 09.09.2019. Later they were released on bail.

One person arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Shiv Parsad R/o Village-Mansukh Baikunthpur Distt-Koriya, Chattisgarh near gate scooter parking, ISBT, Sector43, Chandigarh and recovered 20.20 Kg Ganja from his possession on 09.09.019. A case FIR No. 185, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Tinku R/o # 6616, Sector-56, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 35 quarters of country liquor near sports complex, Sector 56, Chandigarh on 09.09.2019. A case FIR No. 303, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Manoj R/o # 857, DMC, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 48 quarters of country liquor near ground opposite Govt. Model School, Sector 38(W), Chandigarh on 09.09.2019. A case FIR No. 145, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft       

Dr. Santunu Sukhla R/o # 295, Block-O, near New Doctor’s Hostel, PGI, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Pulsar M/Cycle No. MH-31DY-6306 from Parking Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh on 08-09-2019. A case FIR No. 246, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abishek Rana R/o Village-Chalama, Distt- Chamba (HP) Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Swift car No. HP-57-4339 parked near H.No. 3251, Sec-40, Chandigarh on the night intervening 07/08-09-2019. A case FIR No. 302, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/quarrel

A case FIR No. 214, U/S 324, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bhura R/o Jhuggi No. 56, Bardana Colony, Sec-26, Chandigarh who alleged that Arif and his friends beaten/threatened complainant near Wine Shop, SCO No. 297, Grain Market, Sector 26, Chandigarh on 07.09.2019. Complainant got injured and was admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Kulwinder Singh R/o # 184/A, Sector-30/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away two gold rings, one gold chain, one gold set  and cash Rs. 35,000/- to 40,000/- from his house on 07.09.2019. A case FIR No. 244, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Pandit Ganpati Nautiyal R/o # 211, Ph-1, Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away silver statue weight approx. 6.5 Kg and cash about Rs. 1 lakh from cash box of Shiv Mandir, Sector 39/D, Chandigarh on night intervening 08/09.09.2019. A case FIR No. 301, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 140, U/S 279, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ankita Malhotra R/o # 2010, Sec-15, Panchkula (HR) who alleged that driver of truck No. CH-04J-8551 namely Panna Lal R/o # 62/13 Village-Daria, Chandigarh hit to complainant’s Alto car No. HR-03X-0747 at light point, near Fun Republic, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 09.09.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 235, U/S 279, 304A, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the statement of Tushar Bansal R/o # 88 Sec-33A, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. CH01AW3502 hit to complainant’s friend Deepanshu riding Activa Scooter No. PB31R2630 near Airport light point, towards Hallo Majra light point, Chandigarh on 09.09.2019. Deepanshu was lifted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh where doctors declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 226, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rani Sharma R/o # 2326/2 Sec-45/C, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Alto car No. CH-01AA-9751 namely Kewal Krishan had hit to complainant (pedestrian) at opposite of Makhan Cloth House, Sector 45, Chandigarh on 04.09.2019. She got injured and was admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh for treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abducted

A person resident of Sector 45/B, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 17 years has been missing from her residence since 07-09-2019. A case FIR No. 227, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
