Four arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against four persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 02.09.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Mukesh R/o # 2, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 12 quarters of country liquor at road near Govt. Middle School, Kishangarh, Chandigarh on 02.09.2019. A case FIR No. 199, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 198, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against Dwarika Nath Parshad R/o Hotel Palm,Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh who did not maintain proper record of customers. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out.

MV Theft

Saif Chauhan R/o # 1166, Sector-7/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01AP-5383 parked near Cottage Restaurant, SCO No. 44, Madhya Marg, Sector-7/B, Chandigarh on 01.09.2019. A case FIR No. 209, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rajesh Kumar R/o # 1159/2, Sector-40/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda ShineM/Cycle No. CH-04F-9023 parked near his house on the night intervening 29/30-08-2019. A case FIR No. 292, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Vinod Kumar R/o # 4766/2, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01AS-1797 parked near his house on the night intervening 01/02-09-2019. A case FIR No. 143, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 238, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kamlesh Parsad R/o # 524/1, New Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh against Raja Ram, Dinesh and Soni who beaten threatened complainant with sticks and rod at Sabji Mandi Colony No.4, Chandigarh on 10.08.2019. Alleged person namely Raja Ram Verma R/o # 96/A, EWS Colony, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh has been arrested. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Eve-teasing

A girl resident of Zirakpur (PB) alleged that a person namely Karan Singh following and trying to contact her at Elante Mall, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh since 30.08.2019 to 02.09.2019. A case FIR No. 239, U/S 354D IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 178, U/S 417, 465, 468, 471 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Ajay Kumar, Challaning Branch, Sector 29, Chandigarh against Baljit Singh R/o # 118, Ram Nagar, Karnal (HR). Baljit Singh had submitted driving license in the Hon’ble Court against drunken driving challan and same was forwarded to Challaning branch for suspension. In compliance, the Driving License of Baljit Singh was sent to Concerned Licensing Authority i.e. Licensing Authority Karnal, Distt. Karnal, Haryana for suspension and same was returned in response with the remarks that the said license has not been issued by their office and is not genuine. Investigation of the case is in progress.
