Arrested while consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh against a person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 26.08.2019. Later he was released on bail.

One arrested under Arms Act

          A case FIR No. 219, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh against Amandeep Singh R/o Village Shutrana, Distt. Patiala, (PB) who was arrested from Sector 44/45 light point, Chandigarh along with car No. DL8CH-5481 on 27.08.2019 and recovered a country made pistol loaded with live cartridges from his possession. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjay R/o # 6509/A, Sector-56, Chandigarh, while playing satta, near Kissan Mandi, Sector 56, Chandigarh on 27.08.2019. Total cash Rs. 1030/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 289, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Raj Bahadur Sharma R/o # B-022/2795, Chajju Majra Colony, Distt. Mohali reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. PB-65K8287, near H. No. 3964, Sec-22, Chandigarh on 24.08.2019. A case FIR No. 268, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Shafiq Ahmed R/o SCO No.1-4, Dashmesh Enclave, Zirakpur, PB, reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s E-Rickshaw No. PB65-4654, near SCF No. 16, Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh 22.08.2019. A case FIR No. 202, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abraham Varghera R/o # 1338/8, Ph-11, Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. PB65-P5913 parked near Tribune Office, Sector-29, Chandigarh on 22.08.2019. A case FIR No. 231, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
