Two arrested while consuming liquor at public place

          Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 25.08.2019. Later they were released on bail.

Action against Gambling

          Chandigarh Police arrested Ravi, Manjayti and Amarjit all resident BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh, while gambling near Wine Shop, Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 25-08-2019. Total cash Rs. 1620/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 199, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 267, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the statement of Lalit R/o # 3160, Sector 23D, Chandigarh against unknown driver of car No. HR26AW-5040 who sped away after hitting to car No. CH01BP2601 driven by Tehal Singh R/o #3107, Sector-23, Chandigarh at light point Sector 22/23, Chandigarh on 22.08.2019. Car driver Tehal Singh got injured and was admitted in IVY hospital, Sector-71, Mohali. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 227, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh against Vikas Rai, Manager of Sky Garden Bar Lounge, 2^nd floor City Emporium, Phase-1, Ind. Area, who opened the said Club beyond the permissible time limit. Alleged arrested and later bailed out.

MV Theft

Anil Kumar R/o # 622, Sector-38/W, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor Motor Cycle No. CH01AL-2168, near Gate No.2, Elante Mall, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 25.08.2019. A case FIR No. 228, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Harwinder Singh Khanna R/o Plot No. 913A, Phase2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that unknown person who stole away complainant’s 5-6 bags of brass sheet circle from his factory at said plot on the night intervening 24/25.08.2019. A case FIR No. 228, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A lady resident of Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that her daughter aged about 16 years has been missing from residence since 23.08.2019. A case FIR No. 227, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Rioting

    A case FIR No. 217, U/S 323, 341, 147, 148, 149, 307, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kapil chopra R/o # 1843, Village Burail, Chandigarh who alleged that Rishu, Gouri, Nindi, Amana, Suraj, Sukhwinder, Nishu and 5/6 other boys run away after attacked on complainant and his friends with sharp weapons/wooden sticks near Mela ground, Sector-45, Chandigarh on 24.08.2019.Complainant and his friends got injured and got treatment from Govt. Hospital, Sector 45, Chandigarh. Later Sukhwinder Singh R/o # 339, Gali No. 4, Village Burail, Chandigarh and Nishu R/o # 1519, Village Burail, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
