Six arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajinder Singh R/o # 4067, Sec-25, Chandigarh near Gate No. 2, PU, Sector-14, Chandigarh and recovered 20 Injections of Pheniramine & Buprenorphine of drugs from his possession on 08.08.2019. A case FIR No. 154, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Suresh Kumar R/o # 3753, Sector-25-D, Chandigarh near turn Kumhar Colony, Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered 24 Injections of Pheniramine & Buprenorphine of drugs from his possession on 08.08.2019. A case FIR No. 155, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Parveen Kumar R/o # 4031, Sector-25-D, Chandigarh near Himachal Sarai, Sector-24, Chandigarh and recovered 20 Injections of Pheniramine & Buprenorphine of drugs from his possession on 08.08.2019. A case FIR No. 156, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Gurpreet Singh R/o Village Sataur, Distt. Hoshiarpur, PB from District Court & ISBT, Sec-43 turn, Chandigarh and recovered 6.60 Gram Heroin from his possession on 08.08.2019. A case FIR No. 165, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Dhruv Singla R/o # 410, Sec-16, Panchkula (HR) while he was possessing 50.80 Gram Heroin near backside H.No. 3328, Sector-40D, Chd on 08.08.2019. A case FIR No. 266, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Hitesh Kathuriya R/o #1337, Sec-10, Panchkula (HR) age 31 years while he was possessing 25.65 Gram Heroin near T-point, near Govt School, Sec-56, Chandigarh on 08.08.2019. A case FIR No. 267, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17 Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 08.08.2019. Later he was released on bail.

Action against obstructing public way

A case FIR No. 254, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Susheel Mandal R/o Nursery, DMC, Chandigarh who was arrested while he was obstructing public way with Auto No. PB65AV-3290 near Khalsa Diary, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 08.08.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 157, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh against Pankaj Sharma R/o # 3303, Sector-49, Chandigarh, who did not given information of servant of his Shop No. 113, PEC, Sector-12, Chandigarh to local police. Accused arrested and later bailed out.

A case FIR No. 180, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against Mohammad Ikrar R/o # 403, Ph-2, Sector-26, Chandigarh, who rented out his residence but did not given information of tenant to the local Police.  Accused arrested and later bailed out.

A case FIR No. 179, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against Kuldeep R/o # 1091, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh, who rented out his residence but did not given information of tenant to the local Police.  Accused arrested and later bailed out.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 220, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Paramvir Singh R/o 22, Ward No.9, Singhpura road, Kuraili, PB against Navjot Singh R/o # 13/859, PAP, Punjab Police Rural, Jalandhar PB who taken Rs. 3 Lakh from complainant for recruiting  him as peon in Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh. Later alleged given him fake joining letter.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 105, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Amit Gumber, Location Manager, HDFC Bank, Plot No.28, 1^st Floor, Phase-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh against Vineet Pawar who provided incorrect residential address & manipulated PAN while applied for consumer loan of Rs. 62,243/- from HDFC Bank Ltd on 09.09.2017. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 179, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Amit Singh R/o 1116, Sec-67, Mohali, against Arpit Sood M/s Brilliance Holidays # 44, Sector 77, Judge Office Enclave, Mohali (PB) Cheated Rs. 3,50,000/- from complainant for booking of Air Tickets from London To Delhi. Alleged person sent fake & fabricated tickets to complainant via email. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 252, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Abhishek Kumar R/o # 1385, Sector-52, Chandigarh working as delivery boy in food company who alleged that when he reached near Govt. High School, Sec-23A, Chandigarh after delivering food in the meantime two unknown persons snatched his Silver kada, chain, mobile phone & cash Rs. 500/- from complainant on 08.08.2019.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Eve-teasing

A girl resident of Chandigarh alleged that Surinder Singh R/o Village Bilga, Distt. Jallandhar, Pb,(age 23 years) eve-teased complainant at Market, Sector-40-C, Chandigarh on 08.08.2019. A case FIR No. 268, U/S 354 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 153, U/s 323, 452, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Sukhdev Kumar R/o # 2, Sec-15/A, Chandigarh who alleged that a person namely Amit Kumar attacked on complainant with sharp weapon at his residence on 03.08.2019. Alleged person namely Amit Kumar R/o # 1781, DBC, Sector 25, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case.Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sanjeev Verma R/o # 2271, Ambedkar Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01AB-7531 parked near his residence. A case FIR No. 109, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Amritpal Singh Dhanju R/o # 4-A, Army flat, Sector-44-a, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. PB11AV0466 parked near his residence. A case FIR No. 205, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
