Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Monty Kashyap R/o # 135-136, village- Khuda Jassu, Chandigarh from near IRB Turn, Mullanpur, Chandigarh road and recovered 10 gram heroin from his possession on 29.07.2019. A case FIR No. 106 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Ricky R/o # 584/1, Sector- 38/A, Chandigarh from near T-Point, Sector- 38, Chandigarh and recovered 50 injections of drugs from his possession on 29.07.2019. A case FIR No. 249 U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for deterring public servant while discharging govt. duty

A case FIR No. 123, U/S 323, 332, 353, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the complaint of Pankaj Kumar R/o # 6, Bank Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh (Security Guard) who alleged that Anuj Kumar R/o # 289, PWT, Manimajra, Chandigarh and Pardeep Kumar R/o # 2241/12, MWT, Manimajra quarreled and beaten complainant while on duty at Civil Hospital, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 29.07.2019. One of the alleged persons also hit on HC Shamsher Singh while on duty. Alleged person namely Anuj Kumar and Pardeep Kumar have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector- 37/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s bicycle while parked near her residence on night intervening 28/29.07.2019. A case FIR No. 247, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rioting

A case FIR No. 108, U/S 147, 149, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ram Singh R/o # 1716, DMC, Chandigarh who alleged that 10-15 unknown persons attacked at complainant’s residence with with iron rods, swords & pelted stones at his residence on 28.07.2019. They also broke gate and window glasses of his house. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 100, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashok Kumar R/o # M-32, Colony No. 4, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of I-10 car No. PB-01B-8453 namely Amandeep Singh R/o # 279/C, GTB Nagar, Kharar, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab who hit to Auto No. PB-65AT-0254 at Sector-20/30 light Point, Chandigarh on 29.07.2019. Complainant, Auto driver namely Mohhamad Arif R/o # 775, Housing Board Complex, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh and 03 other got injured person admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 197, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Chopender Budha R/o village- Nehra Jathai, Distt.- Shimla, HP who alleged that driver of car No. CH-01AA-0131 namely Aseem Sharma R/o # R-33, Sector- 74, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab who hit to complainant’s wife near Sector- 45/46 Dividing road near Dev Samaj College, Sector- 46 side, Chandigarh on 29.07.2019. Complainant’s wife namely Chetna got injured and admitted in Civil Hospital, Sector-45, Chandigarh and referred to PGI, Chandigarh where she expired later. Alleged person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Sector- 50/D, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 88, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

Rahul Chandail R/o # 3152, Sector- 38/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s pulsar motor cycle No. HP-55A-7611 while parked near his residence on night intervening 27/28.07.2019. A case FIR No. 246, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Harwinder Singh R/o village- Thalli Kala, Distt.- Ropar, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s swift car No. PB-12S-4391 from Krishna market, Sector- 41, Chandigarh on 25.07.2019. A case FIR No. 248, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A lady resident of Sector- 31/A, Chandigarh reported that her daughter age about 16 years have been missing from complainant’s residence since 29.07.2019. A case FIR No. 209, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
