Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Three different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area & PS-49, Chandigarh against three persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 27.07.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Paramjit Shori R/o village- Adda Chabal, PO-Chabhal Jhabal Kalan, Distt.- Taran Taran, Punjab from near Sabzi Mandi Ground, Sector-45, Chandigarh and recovered 15 gram Heroin from his possession on 27.07.2019. A case FIR No. 195, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

         Chandigarh Police arrested Rampal R/o # 3757, Sector- 56, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 20 quarters of country made liquor from near beat box, Sector- 56, Chandigarh on 27.07.2019. A case FIR No. 243, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of sector- 37/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away battery from complainant’s Maruti car No. CH-03D-8228 while parked near his residence on 20.07.2019. A case FIR No. 242, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sumeri Lal R/o # 252, Village- Daria, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s splendor motor cycle No. CH-01AG-3301 while parked near his residence on 16.07.2019. A case FIR No. 195, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

Sant Kumar R/o # 703, Gharwal Colony, village- Daria, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 15 years have been missing from Self Defence Training Centre, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 26.07.2019. A case FIR No. 194, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector- 56, Chandigarh reported that her nephew’s age about 15 and 16 years have been missing from near their residence on 25.07.2019. A case FIR No. 244, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
