Three arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Vikram R/o # 83, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 22 quarters of liquor near Kishangarh Sukhna Cho, Chandigarh on 24.07.2019. A case FIR No. 167, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Chandigarh Police arrested Sumit Kumar @ Chhotu R/o # 4958/2, Sec-38/West, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 24 quarters of liquor near Masjid, Ram Leela Ground, Village Daddu Majra, Chandigarh on 24.07.2019. A case FIR No. 104, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Chandigarh Police arrested Amuj R/o # 4920, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 24 quarters of liquor at Park near H.No. 4920, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh on 24.07.2019. A case FIR No. 105, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Mandeep R/o # 1213, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near H.No. 1462, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 24.07.2019. Total cash Rs. 1250/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 168, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against obstructing public way

A case FIR No. 95 U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against Manchul Kumar R/o Village Navidari, P.S.Akilpur, Distt. Patna, Bihar Chandigarh who was arrested while he was obstructing public way with Rehri-fari near Small Chowk, Sec-48/49, Chandigarh on 24.07.2019. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

 Neeraj Kaler R/o # 2555, Sec-39/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away battery from complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No. CH-01BR-3465 while parked near PB & HR High Court parking on 22.07.2019. A case FIR No. 210, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
