Indo- US Joint Summer School on “Renewable Energy” inaugurated today

Korel, Chandigarh July 8, 2019

            A three week, Indo- US Joint Summer School on “Renewable Energy” was inaugurated today at Dr. S. S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology, Panjab University. The inauguration was presided by Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor and Chief Guest and Dean International Students Prof Nandita Shukla Singh.

            The US Coordinator Prof. Devinder Mahajan along with Indian Coordinator Prof. Amrit Pal Toor highlighted the objectives and details of the program.   This joint summer school is in collaboration with Stony Brook University, New York USA along with Dr. SSB UICET, a twinning activity with DUIET, Dibrugarh funded by TEQIP III. The program will be from July 8-26, 2019 and will be attended by students of both the universities. The course includes lectures by faculties from both universities, along with field  visits to fossil park, geothermal stations etc. The program will focus on renewable energy technologies like solar energy, Bio fuels, Nuclear energy and hydroelectric power.
