Four (04) persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place under special drive

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out in different parts of the city. Under this drive total 04 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 04 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-17= 01 case, PS-IA= 02 cases, PS-I.T Park= 01 case.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 140, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the statement of Amit R/o # 372, Sector- 25/D, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of canter No. PB-11CM-2715 namely Ravi Kumar R/o Ward No. 15, Meet Market, Bazigar Basti, Khanna, Distt.- Ludhiana, Punjab who hit to complainant near SCF No. 108, Grain Market, Sector- 26, Chandigarh on 25.06.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Village- Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that his son age about 09 years has been missing from his residence since 29.06.2019. A case FIR No. 112, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sumit R/o # 1243, Sector- 45, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s splendor motor cycle No. CH-01-6849 while parked near his residence on the night intervening 13/14-04-2019. A case FIR No. 168, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sanjay Kumar Sharma R/o # 298/B, Sector- 51/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s splendor motor cycle No. CH-01AS-5458 while parked near his residence on the night intervening 23/23-06-2019. A case FIR No. 73, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector-32/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person occupant of M/Cycle sped away after snatched her hand bag containing cash Rs. 7,000/-, mobile phone, PNB ATM card near SD Mandi, Sector 32, Chandigarh on 30.06.2019. A case FIR No. 169, U/S 379, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Sudama Ram R/o # 236, Sahapur, Rajiv Colony, Sector- 38, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s E-Rikshaw No. PB-65AF-2421 from SCO No. 145-146, Sector- 8, Chandigarh on 29.06.2019. A case FIR No. 184, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
