08 persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place under special drive

        In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out in different parts of the city. Under this drive total 08 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 08 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-03= 01 case, PS-17= 03 cases, PS-Manimjara= 01 case, PS- I.T Park- 01 case, PS- 49= 02 cases.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajnish R/o village- Naswaal, PS- Ghumarvi, Distt.- Bilaspur, HP from near Bus Stop, Punjab University, Sector- 14, Chandigarh and recovered 50 injections of drugs from his possession on 23.06.2019. A case FIR No. 116, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Aditya R/o # 752, Sector- 25, Chandigarh from ground in front of # 610, Sector- 38/A, Chandigarh and recovered 01 gram heroin from his possession on 23.06.2019. A case FIR No. 181, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sanjay Kumar R/o # 216, Sector- 20/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s 4/5 kg verka desi ghee, chocolate and cash Rs. 7,000/- from Verka booth, Sector- 20/C, Chandigarh on night intervening 22/23.06.2019. A case FIR No. 83, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Hurt

A case FIR No. 84, U/S 324 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Fakru Din R/o # 206, Sector- 21, Chandigarh who alleged that Samim who  attacked complainant with razor knife (ustra) near left ear at his residence on 23.06.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 148, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh against Kashmir Singh R/o # 164, Khudda Jassu, Chandigarh (Manager) who was opening Para Club, Centra Mall, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh late night without any intimation to local Police. Accused arrested and later bailed out.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 188, U/S 147, 148, 452, 323, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint ofChirag Behel R/o 3 3437, Top Floor, Sector- 23/D, Chandigarh who alleged that Sachin, Pawan and Ankur sped away after beaten complainant at his residence on night intervening 21/22.06.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

        A case FIR No. 137, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the statement of Pargat Singh R/o # 895, Gilco Heights, Gilco valley, Kharar, Punjab who alleged that driver of car No. CH-01AU-7342 namely Yash Goyal R/o # 777/7, Distt.- Panchkula, Haryana who hit to complainant BMW car No. GJ12BR-6869 near Pal Dhaba, Sector- 28, Chandigarh on 23.06.2019. Accused person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 84, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the statement of Sourav R/o VPO- Baroti Wala, Distt.- Solan, Tehsil- Baddi, HP who alleged that driver of Eco sport car No. CH-01AY-3701 sped away after hitting to complainant motor cycle No. HP-12-9968 and other motor cycle No. HP-12G-2066 near Sector- 38/38 West light point on 23.06.2019. Complainant and other 3 persons got injured and admitted in GH-16 and PGI. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A case FIR No. 136, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of SI. Suresh Kumar, Traffic Staff against driver of car No. CH-12(T)-9242 who sped away after taken his car from naka point at Grain Market Chowk, Chandigarh which was impounded by traffic staff on 22.02.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Balwant Singh R/o # 43, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda CB Shine motor cycle No. CH-01AX-1492 while parked near his residence on night intervening 21/22.06.2019. A case FIR No. 187, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS- 17 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
