Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 21.06.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Anil Kumar Atwal R/o # 325, Village-Burail, Chandigarh from near Gaushala, Sector-45, Chandigarh and recovered 50 injections of Buprenorphine and pheniramine drugs from his possession on 21.06.2019. A case FIR No. 155, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Rahul Nainwal R/o # 1546, Village-Burail, Chandigarh near Gaushala, Sector 45, Chandigarh recovered 6 gram Heroin from his possession on 21.06.2019. A case FIR No. 157, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Theft

Himansu Garg R/o # 3421, Sec-32/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away laptop from his room on 19.06.2019. A case FIR No. 154, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later accused namely Mohit Verma R/o 3223/1, Sector 21-C, Chandigarh age 28 years has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Vishal Singh R/o # 130/1, Sec-44/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away four wheels of his ford figo car No. CH-01AQ-1459 parked near his house on the night intervening 20/21-06-2019. A case FIR No. 156, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Lokesh Goyal R/o # 2779/2, Sec-40/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No. PB-65AA-6397 parked near his house on the night intervening 08/09-06-2019. A case FIR No. 180, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
