One arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Vishal R/o # 3118, Sector- 28/D, Chandigarh (age- 22 yrs) from T-Point, Sector- 28 C/D near ITI College, Chandigarh and recovered 8.50 gram heroin from his possession on 11.06.2019. A case FIR No. 129, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Gurpal Singh R/o village- Kala Mahmal, Tehsil- Nissing, Distt.- Karnal, Haryana (age- 28 yrs) from TPT Light Point towards Railway Light Point, Chandigarh while he illegally possessing 11 boxes of English wine (132 bottles) and 21 boxes of Country made liquor (252 bottles) carried in Volkswagen Car No. PB-11AV-2727 on 11.06.2019. A case FIR No. 130, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Car also taken into Police possession. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 74, U/S 452 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Harpreet Singh R/o # 366, Sector- 20/A, Chandigarh who alleged that Sarju R/o # 381, Sector- 20/A, Chandigarh trespassed in complainant’s house and also attack on him on night intervening 08/09.12.2018. The case has been registered after taking legal opinion. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 135, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area Chandigarh on the complaint of Gyan Inder Kumar R/o # 34, Sector- 22/A, Chandigarh against unknown person stolen away mobile phone of complainant’s son from Smaaash 3^rd floor, Elante Mall, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh on 06.06.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Hemraj Singh R/o village- Landran, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s motor cycle No. PB-12U-4317 from parking Sector- 53, Chandigarh on 10.06.2019. A case FIR No.126, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS- 36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rajeev Kumar R/o # 146, Ward No. 13/4 near Ravidas Bhawan, Derabassi, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s pulsar motor cycle No. PB-65Q-4549 while parked near Booth No. 6, MW Maarket, Indst. Area, Chandigarh on 07.06.2019. A case FIR No.136, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS- Indst. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rashwinder Singh R/o # 236/1, Sector- 41/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s activa scooter No. CH-01AZ-5662 while parked near his residence on 07.06.2019. A case FIR No.168, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS- 39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Gagan R/o # 81/B, Village- Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that 03 unknown persons occupant of motor cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone near Sector- 25/38 light point, Sector- 38 side, Chandigarh on 10.06.2019. A case FIR No. 167, U/S 356, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
