Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 29.05.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested with fake number plate on stolen Motor Cycle

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu R/o Jhuggi No. 444, Mad Majra, Ph-6, Distt. Mohali, (PB) at naka near Light Point, Sector-23/24, Chandigarh while he was using fake Registration No. CH-01AR-5195 on stolen Pulsar M/Cycle which was stolen from area of PS-Kalka (HR). In this regard, a case FIR No. 145, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 90, U/S 341, 147, 149, 323, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kunwarjit Singh R/o Room No. 59, Boys Hostel No. 2, Block-2, PU, Chandigarh who alleged that Karaman Grewal, Manminder Singh, Nishant Kansal, Aniket Gupta, Vishu and Soni all had beaten and threatened complainant at his room on 10.05.2019. Later alleged person namely Rana Karaman Grewal R/o # 1249, Ph-9, Mohali (PB) and Nishant Kansal R/o # 216, PH-3B1, Mohali (PB) have been arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 111, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against driver of Fortuner car No. CH-01BM-0219 namely Neeraj Sahni R/o # 45, GH-7, MDC, Sec-5 Panchkula (HR), Age 48 years,  who hit to a girl namely Janvi d/o Raj Bahadur R/o Shanti Nagar Mani Majra (Age 5 years) near light point, Shastri Nagar, MM, Chandigarh on 29.05.2019. She got injured and declared brought dead at GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Alleged car driver arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Jaiky Kumar R/o # 49, 1^st Floor, Gali No. 5, Shashtri Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away LED TV, Mobile Phone, Gold Chain from his residence on 29-05-2019. A case FIR No. 70, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sonu R/o # 282, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor Plus M/Cycle CH-01BE-0361 from near his residence on the night intervening 23/24-05-2019. A case FIR No. 89, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector 47, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-04K-8469 from near Nirman Theatre Sec-32, Chandigarh on 29.05.2019. A case FIR No. 120, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Paras Juneja R/o # 3104, Sector-40D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No. CH-01AV-7964 from near his residence on night intervening 15/16-05-2019. A case FIR No. 149, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

Raju Yadav R/o # 375, Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh alleged that a lady namely Neelam R/o Mauli Complex, Chandigarh cheated Rs. 49,000/-, Mangal Sutra, and registry of plot from complainant’s wife. A case FIR No. 90, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector 41, Chandigarh reported that unknown person occupant of two wheeler rider sped away after snatched her bag containing Samsung Mobile Phone, 2 Debit cards and cash Rs. 500 while she was on her Activa Scooter near Mandi, Sector 40, Chandigarh on 29.05.2019. A case FIR No. 148, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
