Four arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Three different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-03 & I.T Park, Chandigarh against three persons who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 26.05.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested with stolen activa scooter while applying fake number

Chandigarh Police arrested Harwinder Singh R/o # 424, Village- Mauli jagran, Chandigarh from naka near Civil Hospital, Sector- 45, Chandigarh while he was using fake Registration number HR-02-1625 (original No. is HR-03X-9671) on stolen activa scooter which was stolen from Indst. Area, Phase-2, distt.- Panchkula, Haryana. In this regard, a case FIR No. 118, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS- 34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Varinder Kumar R/o # 4776, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-03R-9053 while parked near his residence on 19.05.2019. A case FIR No. 67, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Feroz Chhabra R/o # 1708, Sector- 34, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s cash and jewellery after breaking  grill of kitchen window from his residence in between 22.05.2019 to 26.05.2019. A case FIR No. 117, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sachin Sharma R/o # 3001, Sector- 37/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s cash Rs. 35,000/-, 01 LPG Gas Cylinder, 20 silver coins and 02 wrist watches from complainant’s residence on 25.05.2019. A case FIR No. 145, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Ramesh Kumar R/o # 610/A, Sector- 47/A, Chandigarh reported that 02 unknown persons occupant of motor cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone near Sector- 46/47 Small Chowk, Chandigarh on 26.05.2019. A case FIR No. 155, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Baljit Singh R/o # 750/1, Dera Sahib, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 05 mobile phones, 01 R/C, some cash & documents from complainant’s residence few days ago. A case FIR No. 68, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 54, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Udham Singh R/o village- Jawaharpur, Tehsil- Derabassi, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab who alleged that driver of Honda Amaze car No. PB-10HB-6381 namely Neeraj Manchanda R/o # 1235/2, Sector- 34/C, Chandigarh who hit to motor cycle No. PB-11BH-9451 near Sector- 44/51 dividing road towards Sector- 51, Chandigarh on 26.05.2019. Driver of motor cycle namely Inderjit Singh R/o village- Gurditpura, Tehsil- Rajpura, Distt.- Patiala, Punjab got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
