One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 23.05.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Three arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested 1) Ankit R/o village- Kalot Kalan, Distt.- Jhunjunu, Rajasthan (age- 22 yrs) 2) Lakshman Shah R/o Village- Moraghat, Distt.- Khagaria, Bihar (age- 25 yrs) (3) Manoj Shah R/o Village- Hathoben, PS- Alauli, Distt.- Khagaria, Bihar (age- 25 yrs) from near Cable Factory, Phase-1, Indst. Area, Chandigarh on 23.05.2019 while they illegally possessing 534 boxes of English wine loaded in Eicher truck No. HR-03ND-8993 on 23.05.2019. A case FIR No. 118, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh. Later they bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

02 arrested for Assault/Arms Act

A case FIR No. 52, U/S 308, 323, 506, 34 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kunal Behal R/o # 2955/2, Sector- 49/D, Chandigarh who alleged that Anmol Diwan R/o # 306/A, Sector- 51/D, Chandigarh, Tushar Sharma R/o # 967, Guru Nanak Enclave, Dhakoli, Zirakpur, Punjab and Abhinav R/o Dhakoli, Zirakpur, Punjab beaten and threatened to complainant and his friend namely Vikas Rawat R/o # 2759/3, Sector- 49/B, Chandigarh near Verka Booth, Sector- 49/D, Chandigarh on 23.05.2019. Accused were also having one country made pistol with them. 02 accused persons namely Anmol Diwan R/o # 306/A, Sector- 51/D, Chandigarh (age- 20 yrs) and Tushar Sharma R/o # 967, Guru Nanak Enclave, Dhakoli, Zirakpur, Punjab (age- 18 yrs) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Theft

Gurdayal Singh R/o # 90, Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 80,000/- from donation box at Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib, village- Khuda Alisher, Chandigarh on 23.05.2019. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Pankaj Kumar R/o village- Kansal, PO-Naya Gaon, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Samsung mobile and cash Rs. 7,000/- from his activa scooter No. PB-65AK-7635 while parked near Sector- 7/26 light Point, Chandigarh on 22.05.2019. A case FIR No. 117, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Manjit Singh R/o village- Julana, Distt.- Jind, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away rods (35 pieces) of his cable installation machine from Sector- 38, Chandigarh on 15.05.2019. A case FIR No. 140, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 50, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Subhash R/o # 159 T.F, village- Burail, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. CH-01BK-6699 namely Rajeev Bajaj R/o # 37, Sector- 11, Chandigarh who hit to TVS Moped No. CH-01BP-5970 near Sector- 49/50 light point, Chandigarh on 21.05.2019. Driver of TVS Moped namely Baljinder R/o Block No. 14, Sector- 32, Chandigarh (age- 52 yrs) got injured andadmitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Later he taken to Metro Hospital, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab by his family members. Investigation of the case is in progress.
