Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjay Kumar R/o # 1322, Mori Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh while he was gambling near Govt. School, Phase-1, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh on 15.05.2019. Total cash Rs. 1,870/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 115, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

02 arrested for Snatching

A lady resident of Village- Burail, Chandigarh alleged that 2 unknown persons occupant of motor cycle sped away after snatching cash Rs. 16,000/-  and mobile phone from complainant near Gali No.3, Ravidass Mohalla, Village- Burail, Chandigarh on 15.04.2019. A case FIR No. 112, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later on 02 accused persons namely Satpal R/o # 450, Village- Kajheri, Chandigarh (age- 25 yrs) and Bhagwan Singh R/o # 260, Village- Burail, Chandigarh (age- 24 yrs) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 79, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Nirmala Devi R/o # 4875, Sector- 38 West, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of auto No. CH-01TA-7354 namely Daya Ram R/o # 816/A, EWS Colony, Village- Dhanas, Chandigarh who hit to complainant’s (cyclist) near Punjab University, gate No. 3 on 14.05.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 63, U/S 147, 149, 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Shubham R/o # 4940/1, Sector- 38 West, Chandigarh who alleged that Kaka and others beaten and threatened complainant at market, Daddu Majra Colony, Chandigarh on 15.05.2019. Later on 04 juveniles apprehended and release on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of village- Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 17 years has been missing from near his residence since 11.05.2019. A case FIR No. 65, U/S 363, 366 IPC has been registered in PS- Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Eve Teasing

A case FIR No.85 U/s 67, 67A IT Act and 507, 509 IPC has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Chandigarh against unknown person who harassed and threatened complainant by sending vulgar messages on her mobile phone. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 131 U/s 420, 120/B IPC has been registered in PS- 39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ajay Jagga R/o # 231, Sector- 21/A, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown person fraudulently encashed complainant’s cheque from account of The Karnataka Bank Ltd., Sector- 22/C, Chandigarh. The case has been registered after taking legal opinion. Investigation of the case is in progress.
