Accident

A case FIR No. 150, U/S 279, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Surinder R/o Jhuggi at Nepli, Forest Area, U.T., Chandigarh who alleged that driver of tractor No. CH-04L-3739 namely Shakil R/o Village-Mahadev Pura near Village- Saketri, Distt.- Panchkula, Haryana hit to complainant’s son near his residence on 14.05.2019. Complainant’s son namely Himanshu (age- 02 years) got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh where doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Distt.- Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab alleged that her husband & others resident of Distt.- fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 68, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector- 48/C, Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Sector- 48/C, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 69, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector- 22/B, Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Sector- 22/B, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 70, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector- 25, Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of PGI, Sector- 12, Chandigarh, harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 71, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Deterred public servant while discharging govt. duty

A case FIR No. 110, U/S 332, 353 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Constable Amarpal 4782/CP, PSO, SP, City & Operations who alleged that Kranti Chaudhary R/o # 3181, Sector- 37/D, Chandigarh refused for checking, argued, manhandled and deterred him from discharge his duty while complainant was on duty of physical checking of public at entry gate neat Pathania Petrol Pump, Rally ground, Sector- 34, Chandigarh on 14.05.2019. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 103, U/S 341, 323, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vikramjit Singh R/o # 3126, Sector- 39, Chandigarh who alleged that Manpreet Singh @ Sunny R/o # 198/A-3, Railway Colony, Jagadhari, Haryana beaten and threatened complainant near Sector- 41/42 dividing road, Chandigarh on 13.05.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Later on accused arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rioting & Deterred Public Servant

A case FIR No. 104, U/S 147, 148, 149, 332, 353 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of SI. Om Parkash, I/C, PP-61, Chandigarh who along with other police officials was performing law & order duty at mattour barrier in connection with the rally of Kisan Majdoor Sangharsh Committee (piddi, Pb). About 1200-1400 members of said association came towards YPS Chowk, Phase-7, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab to Mattour barrier laced with sticks with an intention to enter in Chandigarh and gherao of Punjab Raj Bhawan. When the agitators led by Satnam Singh Pannu and others reached at Mattor barrier, Chandigarh, they did not have any permission, so they were asked to disperse their agitation/rally but they refused & overpowered the Police Officials. During the scuffle, L/Vol. Sarabjit Kuar 1335/CHG, PS-39, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in Hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.
