One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 11.05.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Accident

A case FIR No. 125, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Krishan Chander Bhatt R/o # 343, Village- Kaimbwala, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of auto No. PB-65AD-1400 namely Jagdev Singh R/o # 148/2, Phase-3, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab who hit to complainant’s activa scooter No. CH-49(T)-1230 near Piccadily Chowk, Sector- 22, Chandigarh on 10.05.2019. Complainant and his wife Pooja got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 66, U/S 279, 337, 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ram Kumar R/o # 1462, Sector- 4, Distt.- Panchkula, Haryana who alleged that unknown vehicle who sped away after hitting to Pulsar Motor cycle No. CH-01BH-8328 near Sector 7/8/18/19 Chowk on 10.05.2019. Driver of motor cycle namely Akash R/o # 3205, Sector- 28/D, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh where doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 109, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurmukh Singh R/o # 32, Village- Nada, Tehsil- Kharar, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab who alleged that driver of car No. HR-01AS-9902 namely Umesh Gupta R/o # 19, Vikas Nagar, Distt.- Ambala, Haryana who hit to complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-01BH-3735 near GMCH-32, Chandigarh on 09.05.2019. Complainant and one lady (pillion rider) namely Vineta Devi R/o Village- Nada, Tehsil Kharar, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab both got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 47, U/S 279, 337 IPC added 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of C. Pardeep Kumar 5119/CP who alleged that driver of unknown vehicle who sped away after hitting to Motor cycle No. CH-01AH-9619 near Motor Market, Sector- 48 towards Faidan Barrier, Chandigarh on 10.05.2019. Driver of motor cycle namely Dharambir R/o # 157, T.F, Sector- 48/C, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh where he died during treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Tarun Khanna R/o # 189, Sector- 20/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s verna car No. CH-01AQ-2247 while parked near his residence on night intervening 08/09.05.2019. A case FIR No. 67, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sandeep Kumar R/o # 518, Village- Hallomajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s splendor motor cycle No. UP-11BL-1425 while parked near his residence on night intervening 06/07.05.2019. A case FIR No. 148, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector- 47/D, Chandigarh, reported that unknown pedestrian person sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone from near her residence on 10.05.2019. A case FIR No. 147, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
