One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 27.04.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Kuldeep Singh Negi R/o # 5592, Village- Maloya, Chandigarh near slip road turn backside ISPW Office, Sector- 24, Chandigarh and recovered 28 injections of drugs from his possession on 27.04.2019. A case FIR No. 74 U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Rohit @ kabuter R/o # 705/11, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh from backside BDC Light Point, Sector- 26, Chandigarh and recovered 11 gram heroin from his possession on 27.04.2019. A case FIR No. 108 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Manoj Kumar R/o # 30, Room No. 9, Village- Hallomajra, Chandigarh from near Sawmill, village- Hallo Majra, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 15 boxes (180 bottles) of English wine on 27.04.2019. A case FIR No. 136, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested 1) Mukesh R/o # 660, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh 2) Mahesh R/o # 224, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh 3) Sunder R/o # 10, Gaffar Dairy, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh 4) Rajinder R/o # 102, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh while they were gambling near tubewell, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 27.04.2019. Total cash Rs. 1,200/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 90, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later they bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector-44/C, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons occupant of red color motor cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s gold chain from near her residence on 27.04.2019. A case FIR No. 98, U/S 356, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Arun Sehgal R/o # 2282/D, Sector- 47/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Maruti Car No. HR-26AD-4595 whileparked near E-Sampark, Sector- 32, Chandigarh on 15.04.2019. A case FIR No. 99, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
