Drug paddler arrested with heroin

Purnoor, Chandigarh 16.04.2019

On 15.04.2019, a Police team lead by Inspector Maninder Singh comprising SI Manjit Singh of PP-Palsora alongwith police party achieved a major success when they nabbed one hardcore criminal indulging selling of narcotics substances in the youth.  During preliminary enquiry, his name identified as Manoj Kumar S/o Late Gurdyal Singh R/o House No. 606, Sector-38-A, Chandigarh and 07 grams Heroin recovered from his possession while he was carrying it near Sector 55/56 Diving Road, Near Beat Box, Sector-56, Chandigarh, without permit/license.   

Accused profile :

1. Accused Manoj Kumar S/o late Gurdyal Singh R/o House No. 606, Sector-38-A, Chandigarh Age-27 Years, Qualification-3-4 class & Occupation Labour. 

Previous History :  On perusal of record, it reveals that the following cases :-

1. FIR No. 187 dated 04.07.2016 U/s 341, 323, 427 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh.
2. FIR No. 226 dated 31.07.2016 U/s 20 NDPS Act, PS-39, Chandigarh registered against the accused.  In this case, 170 Gms Ganja has been recovered from him. 

Family Background :

His mother namely Bala W/o Gurdyal Singh Age-47 Yrs is also a burglar and is involved in 26 criminal cases.  Out of which, 11 cases are registered in this Police Station and 25 criminal cases found registered in and around the area of Chandigarh.  Her name is also cited as Bad Character in Register No. 10 of Police Station.  She has also been awarded 10 Years RI by Shri Jasvir Singh Sidhu, ASJ, Chandigarh in case FIR No. 333/2013 U/S 21 NDPS Act and in case FIR No. 536/2012 U/S 21 NDPS Act for one year by Ms. Shalini Nagpal, ASJ, Chandigarh.  She was granted bail by the Hon’ble Court but in between she again nabbed by police of PS-Sarangpur in case FIR No. 18 dated 27.01.2019 U/S 21 NDPS Act.  So, the family of Bala is fully involved in totally notorious activities.
