Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-03 & MM Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 05.04.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against Gambling/Satta

        Chandigarh Police arrested Parsu Ram R/o # 370, Charan Singh Colony, Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh while he was gambling and cheating people near Lakkadwala Pull, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 05.04.2019. Total cash Rs. 6550/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 61, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act & 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Aaftab Ahmad R/o # 3154, Sector-28/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda City Car No. CH04B0027 parked in front of his residence on the night intervening 04/05-04-2019. A case FIR No. 75, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector-27, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away battery from Complainant’s Innova car No. PB-12H-8877 while parked near her residence on the night intervening 04/05-04-2019. A case FIR No. 77, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rioting/Attempt to murder

A case FIR No. 49, U/S 147, 148, 149, 307 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of DMC, Chandigarh who alleged that Rishabh, Sahil and their 6-7 associates beaten complainant’s son Rehman with sticks/rods near boundary wall of dumping ground DMC, Chandigarh on 03.04.2019. He got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Later alleged persons namely Rishab R/o H. No. 687, DMC, Chandigarh, age 19 years, Sahil R/o H.No. 36, DMC, Chandigarh, age 19 years & Raja R/o H. No. 321, DMC, Chandigarh, age 19 years have been arrested on 05.04.19. Investigation of the case is in progress.
