Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

        Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 01.03.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Accident

A case FIR No. 72, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Nikhil Mehtani R/o # 90, Sector-6, Panchkula, (HR) who alleged that driver of Car No. PB06V-8700 sped away after hitting to complainant’s Polo car No. CH01AU-8256 near H.No. 515, Sector 8, Chandigarh on 01.03.2019. None injured only vehicle damaged. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Damage to property

A case FIR No. 27, U/S 435 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Tejpal R/o # 1869, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown person set fire to complainant’s Motor Cycle No. CH01AW-5054 & another vehicle Activa Scooter No. CH01AB-9296 while parked near his house on 01.03.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.    

Theft

Arjun Singh, Working as Waiter at SCO No. 32, The Great Beer Bar, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 46,500/- from counter of PNB Bank, Sector 26, Chandigarh on 01.03.2019. A case FIR No. 45, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
