Firing incident took place near wine shop at Daddu Majra, 5 detained

On 10.02.19 at about 08.15 PM, information was received that a quarrel took place in front of Wine Shop, Village-Daddu Majra, Chandigarh. Upon this, SHO, PS-Maloya along with police party reached on the spot. Facts were verified and it was established that some boys belonging to Punjab visited to buy & drink liquor at Chandigarh. The said boys visited the Wine Shop, Village-Daddu Majra where some local residents who were bouncers were already present. There were some hot words exchanged between them and bouncers. During the ensuring fight,  one boy fired bullet shots in air and all of them fled away from the spot. In this regard, a case FIR no.21, dt.10.02.2019 U/s 147, 148, 149, 323, 341, 336, 307, 506 IPC & 24/54/59 Arms Act, PS-Maloya was registered. During the investigation, one accused namely Amandeep Singh was arrested on 11.02.19. Five others have been identified which of them Baldev Singh who had  fired bullet shots in the said incident. Police teams were  deputed to search for Baldev Singh. On 17.2.19 early in the morning said accused Baldev Singh was apprehended from Hoshiarpur and he was brought to Chandigarh. During the interrogation, he disclosed that he fired the bullet shots in the above said incident.

On confirming his role, he was arrested.  On 25.2.19 accused Mandeep Singh S/o Jagjeet Singh R/o H. No. B-134/118 Chamder Nagar Gali No.4 Civil line Ludhina Age-23 Years & Pursharth S/o Naresh R/o H. No. 237/142A New Kundan puri civil line Ludhiana Age 23 Years were arrested.  I-20 Car used to commit crime was taken into Police Possession.  Further investigation is going on and more efforts are being made to arrest the remaining 02 accused.
