Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-17= 1 case, PS-36= 1 case, PS-39 = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Burglary

S.K. Sharma (caretaker) R/o # 94, Sector-10, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away household articles after breaking locks from complainant’s residence on 20.02.2018. A case FIR No. 54, U/S 454, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Shrey R/o # 1210, Sector-37/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away some small silver statues, 01 Samsung LED 32 inch, 01 juicer machine, 01 press, 02 invertors, 02 fans, some woolen clothes and utensils after breaking locks from complainant’s residence in between 09.02.2019 to 19.02.2019. A case FIR No. 41, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

        Mukund Gupta R/o # 2087, Sector-21/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 04 iron stands from complainant’s residence on 19.02.2019. A case FIR No. 22, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

        Ravi Shankar R/o # 732/22, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. CH-01AY-5116 while parked near his resident on 16.02.2019. A case FIR No. 38, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
