Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Both later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Dilawar Singh R/o # 604, Village Himmatgarh Dhakola, Zirakpur, Mohali (PB) near T-point, GMSS School, Sector 56, Chandigarh and recovered 25 gram of Heroine / Smack from his possession. A case FIR No. 223, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One apprehended for snatching

A lady resident of Sector 45A, Chandigarh alleged that one boy snatched her purse containing cash Rs. 200/- near H.No. 272, Sector 45, Chandigarh on 24.05.2018. Later one juvenile has been apprehended. A case FIR No. 204, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 202, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the statement of Anish Ahmed R/o H.No. 3466, Sector 25D, Chandigarhagainst driver of Bullet M/Cycle No. CH01BP-8256 who sped away after hitting to a child namely Mohd. Rihan (Cyclist) R/o # 454, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh in front of booth market Sector 42, turn sector 42 B/C, Chandigarh on 23.05.2018. He got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh.Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Narinder Kumar R/o H.No. 1146, Sector 52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Splendor M/Cycle No. CH03Q-1826 while parkednear his house on night intervening 21/22-05-2018. A case FIR No. 201, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector 47C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away M/Cycle No. CH01BL-8015while parked in front of her house. A case FIR No. 246, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel

A case FIR No. 143, U/S 341, 323, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint ofVikas R/o H.No. 3189, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh who alleged that Rahul R/o H.No. 3190, Mauli Complex beaten/threatened complainant near his house on 24.05.2018. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 203, U/S 323, 341, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Inder Jit Arora R/o VPO Lalru, Distt. Mohali, (PB)who alleged that 2-3 unknown person quarreled & beaten complainant near Chowk, Sector-31/32/46/47, Chandigarh on 23.05.2018. Alleged person also took awaykeys of his car and mobile phone.Investigation of the case is in progress.

Robbery

Sh. Vikramjit Singh R/o H.No. 11,Sector-77, Mohali, (PB) alleged that Sunny, Pankaj & other robbed away mobile phone, cash Rs. 3500/-, ATM cards & documents from complainant near Park, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on night intervening 24/25-05-2018. A case FIR No. 145, U/S 392, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
