Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-11 & 17, Chandigarh against three persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 22.01.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Surjit Singh R/o # 1124, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh from near Kacha Rasta Hallo Majra, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 30 quarters of country liquor from his possession on 22.01.2019. A case FIR No. 27, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Gurpreet Singh R/o # 1517, Chaman Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No. PB-11AR-2384 while parked near Kotak Mahindra Bank ATM, Sector-22/D, Chandigarh on 19-01-2019. A case FIR No. 27, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

          A lady resident of Sector-39, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 04 gold lady rings, 01 gold men ring, 03 gold mangal sutras, 04 pairs of gold ear rings, 02 gold chains, 01 gold Om Pendent and cash Rs. 15,000/- from her house on 22-01-2019.  A case FIR No. 20, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
