Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.
In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 03 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Both later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-03= 03 cases,. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law
One arrested under NDPS Act
Chandigarh Police arrested Hardeep Singh @ Babby R/o # 6384/C, Sector-56, Chandigarh from Sector-31/47 dividing road and recovered 10 gram Heroin from his possession on 21.01.2019. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Dowry
A lady resident of Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Derabassi, Distt-Mohali (PB) harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 27, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
A lady resident of Sec-39/C, Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Sector-30/A, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 28, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
Accident
Sunil R/o VPO- Teekra, Distt-Unnav (UP) alleged that driver of car No. PB-01-5221 namely Amrik Singh R/o # 120, Ward No. 3, Vill-Jassu Majra, Kharar (PB) hit to complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01BP-7722 near Golf Turn, Gate No. 3, Chandigarh on 18-01-2019. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Motor cyclist got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 17, U/S 283, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the statement of Dharam Raj R/o # 377 Sec-20/A, Chandigarh alleged that unknown driver of Truck No. HR-55R-3070 who wrongly parked his vehicle near Plot No. 1 Ph-1 Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 20-01-2019. Resultantly one car No. CH-01BC-0433 struck with said truck. Car driver namely Mukul Joshi R/o # 2303, Sector 22C, Chandigarh age about 27 years got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Rahul Arora R/o # 2289/D, Block-33, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No. Pb-05V-8205 while parked near his house on night intervening 20/21-01-2019. A case FIR No. 07, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Dinesh Kumar R/o Village-Kajheri, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Passion M/Cycle No CH-03P-9767 from back side parking ISBT-43, Chandigarh on 21-01-2019. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Rioting
A case FIR No. 18, U/S 323, 325, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak Narang R/o # 1915, Sector-7/C, Chandigarh who alleged that Sukhdev Singh and Happy attacked on complainant with hockey & stick and also threatened him at complainant’s residence on 18.01.2019. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Attempt to suicide
A case FIR No. 19, U/S 309 IPC has been registered in PS-Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh against a person resident of Village-Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh who attempt to suicide at his house on 20.01.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress. For Information
