Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 07 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 07 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 09 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public  place. Both later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-17= 1 cases, PS-IT Park= 1 cases, PS-31 = 4 case, PS-26 = 1 case. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Illicit liquor recovered

          A case FIR No. 26, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of HC Jagtar Singh, Traffic Staff, CTP, Sector 23, Chandigarh against driver of car No. PB-16E-3793 which was impounded by traffic staff and 26 boxes of liquor has been recovered from said car. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Ankit Sharma R/o # 4 Gali no. 26 Jujhar Nagar, Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/cycle No. CH01 AW 6662 while parked near SCO No. 1022-1023 sec-22/B, Chandigarh on 19.01.2018. A case FIR No. 24, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Suraj R/o # 2334, NIC, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/cycle no. CH04 K 6555 near hisResidence on 18-01-2019. A case FIR No. 18, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-IT park Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
