Clean Chit to Senior IAS in Sexual Harassment Case

Chandigarh, June 14, 2018:

Haryana State Women Commission found no merit in the allegations of sexual harassment levelled against a senior IAS officer by his junior woman IAS officer.

The Commission drew this conclusion after hearing both officers though inquiry was not yet formally over.

According to the the Commission chairperson, Pratibha Suman, the preliminary findings showed the case seemed to be related more to the issue of behaviour than the sexual harassment.

The senior officer, who holds the post of Additional Chief Secretary, was advised to improve his office related conduct with subordinates.

The senior officer had submitted detailed reply to the allegations against him.
