Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 07 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 07 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 11 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public  place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-17= 1 case, PS-26 = 1 case, PS-Mauli Jagran= 2 cases, PS-IT Park= 1 case, PS-34 = 1 case, PS-36 = 1 case. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS

          Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Rahul Kashyap R/o Village-Dhon, Tehsil-Nahan, Distt.-Sirmaur, Himachal Pradeshnear T-Point, Kacha Rasta, Village-Kajheri, Chandigarh and recovered 200 gram Charas from his possession on 13.01.2019. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Three apprehended for applying fake number on stolen Car

Chandigarh Police apprehended 03 juveniles (age-14 yrs, 16 yrs, 16 yrs) from near Khuda Lahora to Naya Gaon Road on the complaint of Amit R/o # 101, Janta Colony, Naya, Gaon, Punjab while they were using fake Registration number CH-03N-0932 on Maruti 800 car (original registration number CH-03N-0361). In this regard, a case FIR No. 10, U/S 379, 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. All 03 juveniles sent to Juvenile home. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/abducted

          A person resident of Colony No.4, Chandigarh alleged that Aakash abducted his daughter age about 18 years from his residence on 01.01.2019. A case FIR No. 11, U/S 366 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

           A person resident of Village-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh alleged that Ishwar @ Nish abducted his daughter age about 17 years from his residence on 13.01.2018. A case FIR No. 15, U/S 363, 366 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

          Ajit Kumar R/o # 58, Dairy Complex, Village- Maloya, Chandigarh alleged that 2 unknown persons occupant of M/Cycle sped away after snatching his mobile phone near Sector-25/38 light Point, Chandigarh on 13.01.2019. A case FIR No. 03, U/S 356, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Raminder Singh R/o # 46, Modern Enclave, Baltana, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s mobile phone from Booth No.41, Sector-34/C, Chandigarh on 13.01.2019. A case FIR No. 22, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 13, U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the statement of Rinku R/o # 1037, Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh, who alleged that driver of bus No. PB-02-7695 sped away after hitting to unknown pedestrian person near poultry farm chowk, village- Hallomajra, Chandigarh on 13.01.2019. Pedestrian person got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh where doctor declared him brought dead.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 14, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the statement of Amitabh R/o # 949, Guru Nanak Colony, Jagatpura, Sector-65A, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab, who alleged that unknown car driver sped away after hitting to motor cycle No. CH-03L-4809 at Sector-31/32 light point, Chandigarh on 13.01.2019. The driver of motor cycle namely Naresh got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Suresh Kumar R/o # 206, Sector-16, Panchkula, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No. HR-03T-1716 while parked backside Hotel Sunbeam Parking, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 07.01.2019. A case FIR No. 13, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
