Special Drive to check Tenants, Servants and PG:-

         During this checking, tenant, servant & PG verification was done and violation of DM order u/s 144 CrPC have been found where Landlords have not given necessary information of their tenants, servant & PG to the local police. In this regard, Yesterday, Chandigarh police registered total 09 cases in different police stations against those who failed to inform local police regarding tenants/PGs residing in their premises in violation of instructions issued by the Deputy Commissioner of UT, Chandigarh. Detail of cases is as under:-

1.   CASE FIR NO. 10, DATED 10-01-2019 U/S 188 IPC, PS-17 AGAINST TEJA SINGH R/O # 2535 SEC-22/C, CHD

2.   CASE FIR NO. 07, DATED 10-01-2019 U/S 188 IPC PS-IND. AREA AGAINST SANT RAM R/O # 1008 GAS COLONY VILL. DARIA CHD

3.   CASE FIR NO. 09, DATED 10-01-2019 U/S 188 IPC PS-IT PARK AGAINST RAM AVADH R/O # 1330 NIC, MM CHD

4.   CASE FIR NO. 12, DATED 10-01-2019 U/S 188 IPC PS-MAULI JAGRAN AGAINST DAYA SHANKER R/O # 1225 VIKAS NAGAR, MAULI JAGRAN CHD

5.   CASE FIR NO. 13, DATED 10-01-2019 U/S 188 IPC PS-MAULI JAGRAN AGAINST KANTA PARSHAD R/O # 1224 VIKAS NAGAR, MAULI JAGRAN CHD

6.   CASE FIR NO. 16, DATED 10-01-2019 U/S 188 PS-34 AGAINST AVADEEP R/O # 2343 SEC-44, CHD

7.   CASE FIR NO. 17, DATED 10-01-2019 U/S 188 IPC PS-34 AGAINST AMRESH KUMAR R/O # 3243 SEC-44/D, CHD

8.   CASE FIR NO. 18, DATED 10-01-2019 U/S 188 IPC PS-34 AGAINST AJAY TANK R/O # 6734 SEC-56 PALSORA, CHD

9.   CASE FIR NO. 16, DATED 10-01-2019 U/S 188 IPC PS-36 AGAINST RAKESH KALRA R/O #-3159 SEC-44, CHD AND JASWANT SINGH SACHDEVA R/O # 516 SEC-33 OWNER OF MAYA HOTEL SCO NO. 325-328 SEC-35, CHD

Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 04 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 04 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 05 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public  place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-03= 2 cases, PS-Sarangpur = 1 case, PS-26= 1 case. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS

          Chandigarh Police arrested Subham R/o # 4935, DMC, Chandigarh near DSOI, Sector-36, Chandigarh and recovered total 36 injections of Buprenorphine & Avil drugs from his possession on 10.01.2019. A case FIR No. 17, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Theft

          A case FIR No. 08, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the Complaint of Sh. Balinder Kumar, J.E. Sub Div. Eng. Sector 9, Chandigarh against Arjun Jha R/o Village-Karamuli Distt. Madhubani, Bihar who was stealing 4 batteries & 1 UPS from MC Light point, Sec-17, Chandigarh on 10.01.2019. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          A lady resident of Sector 71, Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB11AQ6891 while parked near Kiran Cinema Parking Sector-22, Chandigarh on 03.01.2019. A case FIR No. 09, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Harjot Singh R/o # 1326, Village-Burail, Sec-45, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH01BC1530 while parked near Verka Booth, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 06.01.2019. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Amit R/o # 2688, Sector-22/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. PB22L6304 while parked near Gate No. 1, DLF Building, IT Park, Chandigarh on 09.01.2019. A case FIR No. 10, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sandeep Singh R/o # 3171, Sector-37/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB65Y3966 in front of Gurudwara, Sector-34, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 15, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Jitender Kumar Shah R/o # 1231/2, Room No. 2, Ph-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 3 Mobile Phones and Cash Rs 1,76,000/- from his room on 03.01.2019. A case FIR No. 11, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 10, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the statement of Ashwani R/o # 1637/1 near Kila, Manimajra, Chandigarh against driver of unknown car who sped away after hitting to a cyclist girl Sangeeta R/o Jhuggi No. 178, Block-K, Colony No. 4, Chandigarh near Centra Mall light point, Chandigarh on 10.01.2019. She got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal Breach of Trust by Public Servant

A case FIR No. 08, U/S 409 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Gulshan Rawat, Director M/s Biophar Lifesciences Private Limited # 513/C Fifth Floor Elante Mall I/Area Ph-1, Chandigarh who alleged that Sh. Virender Sharma R/o Flat No. 105/D Tower-1 Leaf Stone Apartment High Landmark Nabha Pabhat Road Zirakpur, (PB) was appointed as an internal auditor of company and delegated all prepaid tax related and accountancy responsibilities to him. Since three years company paid tax liabilities to him for further depositing it to Income Tax authorities but alleged person took money and not deposited all liabilities (Total Rs 23.95 Lac) in Income Tax authorities. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 09, U/S 409 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Rahul Rawat, Director of Medilente Pharma Pvt Ltd, Panchkula R/o Plot No. 176, Ind Business Park, Ph-1, I/Area, Chandigarh who alleged that Sh. Virender Sharma R/o Flat No. 105/D Tower-1 Leaf Stone Apartment High Landmark Nabha Pabhat Road Zirakpur, (PB) was appointed as an internal auditor of company and delegated all prepaid tax related and accountancy responsibilities to him. Since three years company paid tax liabilities to him for further depositing it to Income Tax authorities but alleged person took money and not deposited all liabilities (Total Rs 6,43,404/-) in Income Tax authorities. Investigation of the case is in progress.
