Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 05 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-3= 2 cases, PS-49 = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Dowry

A lady resident of Sector-23, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & other resident of Village-Naya Gaon, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 07, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-29, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others all resident of Distt.-Hoshiarpur, Punjab harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 08, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-56, Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Distt.-Mandi, HP harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 09, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others all resident of Sector-56, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 10, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 04, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the statement of Deepak Deswal, R/o # 315, near Bus Stand, Village- Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Swift car No. CH-01BJ-0649 namely Vijay Kumar R/o # 2351, Sector-25/D, Chandigarh hit to complainant’s father (cyclist) near Bougainville Garden, Sector-03, Chandigarh on 28.12.2018. Cyclist person namely Suraj Bhan got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh.  Alleged person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 03, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the statement of Murari Lal R/o # 5877, Sector-56/D, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. PB-01C-0991 namely Bir Singh R/o Village-Rapad, Gharoh, Tehsil-Nurpur, Distt.-Kangra, HP hit to complainant’s Activa scooter No. CH-01BP-7452 near Sector-39/40/55/56 chowk, Chandigarh on 12.12.2018. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in Govt. Hospital, Phase-6, Mohali, Punjab.  Later he referred to PGI, Chandigarh on 15.12.2018. Alleged person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Rohit Janagal R/o # 2344/D, Block No.30, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s motor cycle No. PB-09AG-6998 while parked near his residence in between 17.12.2018 to 19.12.2018. A case FIR No. 02, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Kishan Chand R/o # 101, Village-Buterla, Sector-41/B, Chandigarh alleged that 2 unknown persons occupant of white Activa scooter sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone near lake, Sector-42, Chandigarh on 02.01.2019. A case FIR No. 02, U/S 356, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

A lady resident of Sector-25, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away One DVR (of CCTV Camera), One digital Watch from # 855, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh on night intervening 31/01.01.2018. A case FIR No. 02, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that his son age about 14 years has been missing/abducted from near his residence since 29.12.2018. A case FIR No. 03, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A person resident of Maloya Colony, Chandigarh reported that his wife age about 25 years and son age about 15 days have been missing/abducted from his residence since 02.01.2019. A case FIR No. 01, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
