ASHIANA PUBLIC SCHOOL ANNUAL SPORTS DAY 2018-‘19

28th December 2018: Ashiana Public School, Sec 46, Chandigarh held its Sports Fiesta on 28^th December with great zeal and gusto. The event was held at Sports Stadium , Sector 46, Chandigarh where in more than  600  students participated. The events organized were Drill, Aerobics, Zumba, Physical Training and Taekwondo which help the children build endurance and agility.

It was a weeklong event in which various Team events such as races, Basketball, Football, Cricket, Badminton, Kabaddi etc were organized along with individual events paving way for the children to display their skills and talent in the field of sports.

The event commenced with a march past by the students followed by an array of events such as Aerobics, Zumba, Physical Training, Yoga etc. The students also competed in 200m and relay races in addition to various track and field events. The audience was treated to a visual extravaganza and impressive drills on drum beats by the students. The students displayed a perfect amalgamation of movements, patterns and strikes showing flexibility and agility in various exercises.

All the events were conducted house wise.

This was followed by Prize Distribution Ceremony in which winners were awarded with various medals. Out of the four houses viz Edion, Einstein, Galileo and Newton,  Edison House was declared as a winner followed by Einstein House as Runners up.

The Director Ms. Lalita Prakash and Principal, Ms. Monika Sharma congratulated the students.
