One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later he bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Vijay R/o # 2899/1, DMC, Chandigarh from near Shahpur Light Point, Chandigarh and recovered 05 Gm Heroine from his possession. A case FIR No. 235, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 368, U/S 341, 324 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Saleem R/o # 388, Phase-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh who alleged that Mohhamad Naym R/o # 389, Phase-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh stabbed complainant near Pakiza Hotel, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 03.12.2018. Complainant got injured admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Village-Naya Gaon, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa scooter No. CH-01AV-3255 while parked near SCF No.20, backside inner market, Sector-8, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 234, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Monu Kumar R/o # 2189, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs.3000/- and 01 silver plate from Valmiki Mandir, Sector-52, Chandigarh on night intervening 02/03.12.2018. A case FIR No. 421, U/S 457, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Suresh Kumar R/o # 1192, Chaman Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who is an employee in District Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s cash Rs.1600/-, D/L, R/C and documents from his civil dress which was kept in almirah in Ahlmad room, Distt. Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 422, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
